CYBER FORENSIC CUM TRAINING LAB

Cyber Forensic Training Lab set up under Cyber Crime Prevention Against Women & Children (CCPWC) Scheme is currently providing hands-on training and practical experience to Law Enforcement Agencies in cyber forensics and digital investigations. Some of the key functions of the Cyber Forensic Training Lab include:

1) Skill Development: The lab provides a platform for trainees to develop skills in digital forensics, which involves identification, preservation, examination, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence.

2) Practical Experience: Trainees gain practical experience while using various forensic tools, techniques, and methodologies to investigate cybercrimes, data breaches, and other digital incidents.

3) Legal and Ethical Training: The lab provides training on legal and ethical considerations in digital forensics, ensuring that trainees understand the proper procedures and protocols for handling evidence and maintaining chain of custody.

4) Scenario-Based Training: Trainees are exposed to simulated cyber-attack scenarios, allowing them to apply their skills in real-world situations and develop the ability to respond effectively to cyber incidents.

This training lab has completed training of 180 numbers of LEAs from Manipur Police Department from ASI to Adl. SP level Officers.

RENOVATION OF LABORATORY

Four Divisions namely, Ballistics, Chemistry, Toxicology and Biology laboratories have been renovated to transform the lab into a modern laboratory. The renovation of laboratory was done with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality, which can transform environments into modern laboratory by installation of modular structures / cabinets / islands, modern lighting fixtures, laying of proper pipelines etc. and to ensure systematic arrangement of exhibits, optimal utilisation of space, adequate lighting and effective storage of lab equipments and exhibits.
